Natchez Trace historical tour
At Natchez Visitor Center in Natchez, MS we made it through the rain, traffic, and cool spell to the plug in at a 110 outlet and able to turn on the AC, cook on the propane stove top, and sleep in a warm soft bed in the parking lot of the Natchez Visitor Center. The rain was so bad that we didn't leave the trailer. No Delta Tamales and spicy cornbread from Fat Mamas this time. Two other RV camped around us, and we kept getting late night drive through and loud music.
The raining finally stopped. We had a hot breakfast, closed up, and headed off the Natchez Trace on the backroads to Lake Copiah for an early Thanksgiving meal with family.
Headed north up I-55 to jump onto the Natchez Trace in Ridgeland and head up to Tishomingo State Park, north of Tupelo, MS. We stopped off at French Camp (home to the christian French Camp Academy) and ate at the Council House Restaurant, new building and menu. New Council Burger was one of the best burgers that I have even had.
